How Do You Eat an Elephant?

Today I was sitting at my desk at Zero Dark Thirty getting ready to go to the Box for my first day back at it after having come down with "walking pneumonia" just before Christmas.  That sucked by the way.  Anyway, I'm sitting here drinking my Black Rifle Coffee Company MO and MCT Oil while I;

  1. Look over my workout of the day.
  2. Check on a T-Shirt order.
  3. Go over the most recent draft of my punch list for the remaining tasks at the Box.
  4. Make sure we're all set for the L1 Cert Course that we're hosting next weekend.
  5. While making sure that the bills are paid.
  6. The bathrooms are clean.

See where I'm going with this?  No?  Damn.  Everyone has stuff to do.  It's too easy to get overwhelmed and do nothing.  Or worse, in my opinion take the easy route.

If you want something, anything at all try this, sit down and plan it out.  Unsure how to do it yourself?  Get help but remember this above all else.  Anything worth doing is worth overdoing and most of all, it's going to take time and commitment.

If you're in too much of a hurry to get there you will fail.  If you're impatient you will fail.  If you doubt your own ability to get there and you give in to that doubt you will fail.  If you look too far down the road your on while getting there you will probably become discouraged and you will fail.  If you lose sight of your goals and allow yourself to become sidetracked you will fail.

So what's my point?  I'll answer with my original question, how do you eat an elephant?  You eat that big fucker one bite at a time.
